Who We are

Breaking Ground is a Design/Build Landscape contractor specializing in the residential and specialty commercial markets. Our operations yard is located in Western Douglas County. From this location we proudly serve the greater Omaha metro/rural region to include: Bennington, Blair, Bellevue, Elkhorn, Fremont, Gretna, LaVista, Papillion, Omaha and Valley.

Who We Aren’t

We believe in utilizing our talented team to its fullest potential. Therefore, we believe it is important to do the work we do best and allow others to do the rest.

Every Trade

We use select subcontractors to help implement certain aspects of our designs. This could include such aspects as masonry, irrigation installation, plumbing…etc. This frees us to design confidently as we utilize both our internal talented team as well as associated professionals.

Lawn Care

We don’t believe that landscaping and lawn care are synonymous. We do not perform mowing or turf management services in-house. There are numerous competent lawn care services available locally, if you have a need for these services, we would be happy to recommend you to one.

Nursury

We do not grow or stock plant material for retail sale. We only bring plants and trees in from suppliers as designs dictate. This means that we do not ‘paint by number’ with plant material based on supply on hand. We design with a plant palate that is specific to the individual project. We source our plant material from respected local nurseries with whom we have good working relationships and a good variety of quality, hardy stock.

Stone/Hardscape Supply Yard

We do not have a retail hardscape or landscape material business that dictates what materials we design with. We have a number of suppliers that have a wide range of products, allowing us to make each product unique.
